    Mandurah’s new vision is:

We are built in nature - a meeting place surrounded by unique waterways, where the wellbeing of our people and our environment are nurtured; where business in the community can thrive and entrepreneurship is celebrated. We will be the place where a thriving regional city and the heart of a village meet. This is our Mandjoogoordap.’

Based on what the community highlighted as priorities, the Mandurah Matters Plan has four key focus areas:

    • economic
    • social wellbeing
    • health
    • environment

The objectives under each of these areas which will form the basis of everything we do moving forward.

The City is working hard on the $22 million Mandurah Waterfront Project to support local tourism and future jobs. It is also heavily focusing on big-picture efforts to transform our city and bring growth, development and more economic diversity to our beautiful city.

We are calling on everyone, from local community to all levels of government to get behind the Mandurah Matters Plan and join us in working together to achieve our united vision for Mandurah.

The Mandurah Matters Plan 2020-2040 was launched on Friday 3 July by the City, Councillors and Community Ambassadors to shape our shared vision for the future.

The Plan was developed after 18 months of work with over 2000 residents. It clarifies what is important to our community and paves our pathway ahead.

The City’s Business Plans and the delivery of activities and services will be in line with what the community told us matter most. But we can not do this alone.

We need to work together with all levels of government, our community leaders, businesses and residents to deliver on the Mandurah Matters Plan and achieve our vision.

Tell us how you will bring our shared vision to life here.
