Help shape a new youth park in Lakelands
Something exciting could be on the horizon for Lakelands, and your ideas can help shape it!
The City of Mandurah is planning a new youth park, and the local community - especially young people - can help decide what it looks like.
Why this is happening
Lakelands and Madora Bay are growing fast. More families are moving in, which means more kids and teens need places to go after school and on weekends.
Mandurah already has lots of great parks, but there aren’t many spaces made just for young people. When the City spoke with the community about skate and BMX spaces, one message came through clearly: the northern suburbs need a new skate park.
Where it will be
The proposed youth park will be built at Lakelands Park. The site is close to Coastal Lakes College and the Lakelands Shopping Centre, making it easy to get to and a great place to meet up with friends.
Have your say
This park is not just about skating. It is about creating a place where young people actually want to spend time. Somewhere to ride, sit, talk, try new things, and feel comfortable being there. A place that feels welcoming, not boring or off limits.
That is why your ideas matter, and why we need to hear from you now, while the project is still in its early stages. Tell us what you think should be included in the youth park. You might have ideas about skate features, places to hang out, art, lighting, or anything else that would make the park a great space.

- Western Foreshore Skate Park
- Thursday 30 April, 3:30pm–5:30pm
- South end of Lakelands Park, across from the Lakelands Shopping Centre
