Help shape a new youth park in Lakelands
Something exciting could be on the horizon for Lakelands, and your ideas can help shape it!
The City of Mandurah is planning a new youth park, and the local community - especially young people - can help decide what it looks like.
What's happening now?
The public comment period for concept plans has now closed - thank you to everyone who cast their vote for their favourite plan!
We are now reviewing your feedback, and will report back with a final concept plan for the community to view here soon. Stay tuned!
We've loved working with you to design a park that is unique and will fit the needs of young people in Lakelands.
Why this is happening
Lakelands and Madora Bay are growing fast. More families are moving in, which means more kids and teens need places to go after school and on weekends.
Mandurah already has lots of great parks, but there aren’t many spaces made just for young people. When the City spoke with the community about skate and BMX spaces, one message came through clearly: the northern suburbs need a new skate park.
Where it will be
The proposed youth park will be built at Lakelands Park. The site is close to Coastal Lakes College and the Lakelands Shopping Centre, making it easy to get to and a great place to meet up with friends.
How do I get involved?
You can share your feedback on the concept design until 30 September 2026.
