We're switching on the floodlights at three City Parks to give residents more time to enjoy a walk or jog outdoors.

From 5.30pm to 8pm each night, you’ll find the lights on at the following areas:

Falcon Reserve, Lynda Street Falcon

Bortolo Reserve, North Oval, Lowden Road

Meadow Springs Reserve, South Oval, Oakmont Avenue Meadow Springs

Please remember to practise social distancing and do not use any equipment at these sites.

The COVIDSafe app speeds up contacting people exposed to coronavirus and helps support and protect you, your family and friends.

The City of Mandurah acknowledges the challenges our local businesses are facing at this time and have invested in a course to help businesses respond to the changing conditions.

The City is offering local businesses this online crisis management course for FREE. If you are looking for simple and effective solutions that you can execute quickly at low to no cost, we encourage you to join now.

This course is designed to give your business a plan on how to survive and thrive during this crisis. It also explains what you must do right now to ensure a quick recovery once this is all over.

This is a 6 - 12 module online training course, with multiple lessons within each module. It features video lessons and live online training events with access to valuable resources.

The City of Mandurah is working with a range of providers who offer emergency assistance, relief or support for those affected by coronavirus in our area.

For information on the Federal Government’s financial assistance services and payments, visit Services Australia. and for information on a range of immediate emergency assistance or support measures available, visit the Department for Social Services.

For local information, you can access the DSS Grant Services directory or visit erconnect.org.au where you can search for a range of emergency relief services within in 5 kms of where you are located.

Download the Mandurah Emergency Assistance and Support information for a list of local organisations and services contacts including food relief, financial counselling and emergency accommodation, amongst other services.

Local seniors are encouraged to join the City of Mandurah seniors Facebook Group.

This is a great way to stay connected with others, share your thoughts, tips and wonderful ideas on keeping healthy and safe while catching up face to face isn’t possible.

City staff are developing Facebook events that will soon be available on the page, keep an eye out for the upcoming online events!

To continue to help stop the spread of COVID-19, White Hills & Tim’s Thicket beaches will once again be CLOSED TO VEHICLES over the upcoming ANZAC Day long weekend.

Beaches are still accessible by foot, however, we remind you to take responsibility by following the public gathering & social distancing measures still in place by the State Govt.

We would like to restate our message for people to stay home & keep our community safe over the holiday period.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our beautiful city once this is all over!

As an emergency response to COVID-19 the City of Mandurah emailed 23,000 residents in their contacts database with an update on the programs, available support and communication channels that have been established as part of the local response to COVID-19.

Residents were invited to sign up to an ongoing Community COVID-19 Update eNewsletter to stay up to date on the latest information for Community Health, Community Assistance, Community Programs, and Community Safety. So far 2,000 residents have signed up to receive the regular community COVID-19 updates.

This week marked the 30^th anniversary since Mandurah became a city on 14 April 1990.

The City Celebrated with a series of online celebrations on the City of Mandurah Facebook page.
