The City of Mandurah has prepared the Mandurah Health Precinct structure plan.
The proposed expansion of the Peel Health Campus and the status of the City of Mandurah’s existing planning framework (where individual landholdings are required to have their own Structure Plans) has created the need for a new Plan to coordinate the development of surrounding landholdings and transport networks.
The objective is to provide a coordinated plan for future development and re-development of the public and private land within the precinct, with a focus on health-related land uses surrounding the Peel Health Campus, together with a coordinated approach to access arrangements and delivery of a future upgrade of Lakes Road.
The structure plan comprises two written texts and three plans:
Part One: Implementation text, effectively the provisions that proponents and decision-makers will need to have due regard for in any development within the Precinct.
Part Two: Explanatory text, rationale and technical appendices.
Plan One: Structure Plan map.
Plan Two: Concept master plan to indicate the intent for the broader precinct, integrating the Peel Health Campus site.
Plan Three: Concept plan for the upgrade of Lakes Road.
Please note that the structure plan is being advertised to seek public comment on the proposal. The advertising of the structure plan does not indicate any formal support by the Western Australian Planning Commission.
