About the plan
Caring for our beautiful natural environment is a top priority for our community, so we are beginning work on a new Litter and Illegal Dumping Plan to keep Mandurah’s waterways, bushland and streets clean.

The Litter and Illegal Dumping Plan is a simple guide that explains how we will stop rubbish ending up in the wrong places and clean up problem spots to keep people, wildlife and places safe. It builds on the City’s Environment Strategy and the Strategic Waste Plan, which focus on protecting nature and cutting waste across our community. It will help our teams and partners teach good habits, add or improve bins and signs, clean up quickly, use fair rules to deter dumping, and keep track of what’s working over time. You can help by learning what goes where and reporting litter or dumping so the City can act fast.

How you can get involved
This plan is not written yet, so your ideas will help us to create it. You can get involved by completing the survey at the bottom of this page, sharing your ideas in our Community Ideas Board and using the online map to drop a pin on litter or dumping hotspots you notice. You can also come along to our in-person engagement events to talk with the team and learn more.
