DRAFT Environment Strategy Open for Feedback
The DRAFT Environment Strategy 2023-2033 is now open for comment. You can view the draft strategy and provide your feedback in the Feedback Forum or Feedback Survey before September 30 2023.
We all have a role to play in protecting and nurturing our environment and shaping our future Mandurah. The strategy has been developed collaboratively through:
1. Review of work we already do in the space and previous community consultation
2. Consultation with Elected Members and City staff
3. Targeted engagement with environmental volunteers, community groups and advisory groups
4. Engagement with partner environmental, government and non-government organisations
5. Whole community consultation during September 2023
This consultation to date has helped us develop a strategy that meets the vision of our community for "a healthy and diverse natural environment where walk softly on our Mandjoogoordap". This strategy sets out a number of key management actions that fall under themes drawn from the community narrative in the City's Strategic Community Plan (2020-2040) and encourages us to work collaboratively across management areas.
