The City of Mandurah’s Economic Development Strategy aims to create a sustainable and competitive economy.

This Strategy details the specific economic development projects the City will focus on over the next 5-10 years, paving the way for future success.

The Strategy is built on extensive community engagement and research from:

  • The Transform Mandurah Economic Opportunities Report: This report highlights the opportunities that will lead to a resilient and self-sustaining local economy.
  • Multi-criteria assessment: This tool evaluates potential projects by scoring how well they meet community needs and aspirations, as well as their likely economic impact.
  • Extensive community feedback: Taken from the Mandurah Matters community consultation, in line with the development of the City's Strategic Community Plan.
  • Consultation with key industry partners and stakeholder groups.

Public consultation on the Economic Development Strategy is now complete, and the Strategy was endorsed by Council on 24 September 2024.
