Draft Community Safety Strategy

The City of Mandurah has undertaken an extensive engagement to better understand the safety issues that are important to our community. We listened to a wide range of voices about how the City can strengthen and encourage a safer community.
Feedback from the consultation activities has been used to create the City’s draft Community Safety Strategy 2024-2029. The Strategy includes three outcomes areas: Partnerships, Place and People. It also includes an implementation plan that outlines more details and resourcing.
The City of Mandurah is now seeking community feedback on its draft Community Safety Strategy 2024 – 2029.
Some of the key findings from our consultations included:
Our community believe:
They feel less safe at night.
Mandurah is a safe place to live.
There are still some areas in Mandurah where safety could be improved.
Our community is seeking:
Greater connections within their neighbourhoods.
Access to local safety resources to be better quipped and informed.
An increased response to reported crime.
New initiatives that create safer places
Feedback and more information
Thank you to our community that provided feedback during the community feedback period which closed 5 July 2024.
The adopted Community Safety Strategy can be viewed on the City of Mandurah's website.
