The City of Mandurah has received an application for a mixed use development at the above property. The proposal includes new buildings and the restoration of the existing heritage buildings on the site. In summary, the proposed development comprises:

  • Restoration and conversion of the existing Barn into a Small Bar;
  • Restoration and conversion of the existing Homestead into a multipurpose building – museum, meeting rooms, food and beverage functions (e.g. high tea, bespoke chef dinners) and corporate functions;
  • Proposed new building to wrap around the existing Workers Cottage to be used as a Café/Restaurant and Function Centre;
  • Restoration of the existing Workers Cottage to be used in conjunction with the Café/Restaurant and/or Function Centre;
  • Alfresco areas and outdoor seating to be utilised in conjunction with the proposed buildings; and
  • Associated car parking and servicing areas.

The City of Mandurah is advertising the proposal in order to assist with its assessment. The Development Plans and supporting documents are attached under the documents tab on this page.

Submissions on the proposal should be lodged in writing to the City of Mandurah by 6 May 2022 via email to planning@mandurah.wa.gov.au.

Please note that this application will be determined by the Joint Development Assessment Panel. The City of Mandurah will assess the application and provide a recommendation to the JDAP.
