FAQs
What is the Mandurah Centre Plan?
The Mandurah Centre Plan is what we’re calling our rather lengthily titled Mandurah Strategic Centre Precinct Structure Plan (MSCPSP). A structure plan is something we’re required to do under legislation and means we are considering the long-term requirements of our Mandurah's centre by looking at the needs related to housing, business, transport, infrastructure, and public spaces.
Why is the plan being reviewed?
The City of Mandurah is reviewing the plan to ensure it aligns with the latest state and regional planning policies, supports sustainable growth, and reflects the community’s needs.
Our community is growing, and we need to ensure this plan reflects the current needs, desires and priorities of those who live, work, and are connected to Mandurah's centre.
How can I get involved in the review?
You can participate by attending engagement opportunities, completing online surveys, or providing feedback through the City’s website.
Sign up to our Mandurah Centre Plan mailing list here for the latest updates, and to hear about upcoming community consultation opportunities.
Will this plan affect my property or business?
The plan may include recommendations that affect zoning, parking, and infrastructure planning. We encourage local businesses and property owners to be part of the consultation process to have their voices heard.
What is payment in lieu of parking?
This is a strategy where developers contribute financially instead of providing on-site parking. These funds are used to improve parking and transport options across central Mandurah.
