Consultation has concluded
The landowner of Lot 9124 Mandurah Road, Lakelands is seeking a proposed modification to the Lakelands Activity Centre Plan. As a landowner within the vicinity of the site, your comments are being sought. The advertising of the proposed structure plan modifications does not indicate any formal support of the proposal by the City of Mandurah or the Western Australian Planning Commission.
The Lakelands Activity Centre Plan sets out the planning framework for the future land use and development within the activity centre plan boundary for the next 10 years. It incorporates and addresses issues such as urban form, land use, transport and movement, infrastructure and activity.
Lot 9124 Mandurah Road is the western part of the vacant land between Lake Valley Drive and Cobaki Brace in Lakelands. The site is currently designated as a mixed-use zone which allows for higher density residential and mixed-use commercial development, compatible with residential development. The applicants are now proposing to change the zone to allow for the development of bulky goods retail (showrooms) within the precinct. A concept plan was submitted with the application and has been attached for your information.
Submissions on the modified structure plan can be lodged via haveyoursay.com.au or in writing via email to planning@mandurah.wa.gov.au on or before Monday 1st February 2021. Please include the structure plan name, the property affected, an email address for return communication and details of the submission lodged.
