Why is the car park being upgraded?
The upgrade is being carried out to improve safety, accessibility, traffic flow, drainage, and the overall condition of the car park.
When will construction start and finish?
Construction is scheduled to commence on September 2026 and is expected to be completed by December 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.
Will the car park remain open during the works?
No, temporary closures and restricted parking areas will occur to allow works to be completed safely. There is public parking 100m and 200m from the car park.
Will the public toilets be accessible for use during the works?
Yes, the public toilets will be available for use during construction.
Will the play park be open during the works?
Yes, the play park will be accessible during construction.
What works are included in the upgrade?
Will there be noise or disruptions?
Some noise, dust, and traffic disruptions are expected during construction hours. Contractors will work to minimise impacts wherever possible.
